I got a lot of friends and family who said waaa, you took picture and posted on gram without makeup?!?! Yeay! I did. In all honesty, I have no problem going out of the house without makeup, but I tend to have problem with taking photos without makeup. It is a real insecurity, no matter how small it is. I get thoughts that says, “oh my gosh, my eyes so small, my nose so big.” Took me a lot time for me to realize that it is not a healthy think that I am so conscious about it. To think that it is an insecurity caused by the pressure of the so called standard of beauty in the world. Like why do I care so much? Who will judge whether I am beautiful or not? As long as the people I care about, think I look pretty in their eyes, that is all that matter. And fact, everybody is their own harshest critic. So cut yourself a slack. Like for reals.

When I start thinking like this, I came to terms with my security and embrace my own natural beauty. So what my picture cannot see my eyes. At least in 10 years when my kid see my old photos with no makeup, they will say they either look like daddy or me. And that vision of that, is something that make me smile more than anything. #hopefullyyougetdaddyseyesthough #andmummysskin #andnoimnotpregnant
